A physical chemist and spectroscopist, Dr. William F. Finney is the Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Central Wyoming College in Riverton, WY.
Dr. Finney earned his BS in Chemistry from SUNY Binghamton and then earned his PhD in Chemistry from Syracuse University.
Dr. Finney then worked as a postdoctoral associate at the University of Michigan. Following that he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Illinois Institute of Technology.
He currently teaches General Chemistry, College Physics and Organic Chemistry – among other courses – at CWC. He works to help his students see that the various scientific disiplines are really just different ways to explore and understand the single, unified world around us.
